Started out as a member of the now defunct Destiny’s Child, they started out young but was in trouble from the start as blow after blow took the group from one failed record deal to the next. The infighting continues till they make it big to the top of the charts where Destiny’s Child took the world by storm as one of the best groups ever to grace the dance floor along with their stunning vocals. Winning the 2001 Songwriter of the Year award, she soon after turned solo while still occasionally performing with the group, pursuing her own niche from the fame brought to her by former group Destiny’s. She diversifies her roles taking up acting in the Austin Powers movie Goldmember, she is graced with many more successful records and deals launching her to new heights.
Takes on the role of the infamous Dreamgirls who were one of the very first African-American performers who gained acclaim for their talent and not their social inclinations during the tumultuous times when Diana Ross was starting out. She draws criticism for her moves and of course booty shaking which kinda put off alot of fans when her albums took on the note of Madonna-style performance with two other dancers as backup, drawing ire over much of the social internet, copied and ridiculed at the least. She continues her career as a singer, songwriter and actress being forever part of the Hollywood life as one of her most infamous characters. Bootylicious!
